Purpose
- Commercially pure aluminum solid wire (99.7% Al) exclusively for joining pure-aluminum alloys.
- No deliberate structural alloying elements — preserves pure aluminum's conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Why it works
Carrying no deliberate Si or Mg alloying, the deposit keeps pure aluminum's properties (high electrical/thermal conductivity, high corrosion resistance) instead of an alloy's mechanical properties — hence its use is limited to pure-aluminum parts, not structural alloys.
Fields of application
- Joining pure-aluminum alloys (DIN 3.0205, 3.0255, 3.0257 and equivalents).
- Parts where preserving pure aluminum's conductivity or corrosion resistance matters, not mechanical strength.

Advantages
- Preserves pure aluminum's high electrical/thermal conductivity in the deposit.
- High corrosion resistance, typical of unalloyed aluminum.
Limitations
- Very low mechanical strength (Rm 80 MPa) — not suitable for any structural application, only for pure-aluminum parts with no load requirement.
- Won't join structural alloys (2xxx/6xxx/7xxx) — only pure aluminum of the same family.
